These young, tender shoots of a sugar snap pea have a slightly sweet and vegetal flavor. We've heard their flavor described as the essence of springtime. They are an excellent source of green protein and the hardiest of the microgreen and shoot offerings.
Keep pea shoots in their clamshell/reusable container in the refrigerator. We wash and dry all of our greens, so they're ready to enjoy!
Pea shoots work well as a part of base of a salad. We like them best stir-fried them for 30 seconds with garlic and salt.
A rough chop is all you need to turn these shoots into the perfect veggie addition to almost any dish--raw or cooked.
